The Matchel

May 4, 2010

Travis wanted a bag to carry his "very important documents" to work while riding the Honda express.  I used the methods for making the love your lunch box and here is what we came up with.  He calls it his Matchel.  I wanted to call it a Murse but he likes matchel since it is his man satchel.  Cute.

This is made with discarded canvas money bags from the bank.  I loved working with these!  No lining needed since the fabric was nice and thick.  I used a dark brown double fold bias tape for the outside flap.  Also put an extra large pocket as seen below.

The strap is made with the same fabric and then Used D rings to attach the strap and make it adjustable.  Plus, men love hardware, right?
