Notebook Slipcover to the Rescue

August 27, 2015

At our elementary school, when they become 4th graders, the kids are allowed to start using a 3 ring binder to keep their papers organized.  For my girls, this is a big deal (I don’t think my son is going to care all that much).  It’s like a big kid rite of passage or something- add style to your school stuff and be cool!

Last year, my Anne was just going into 3rd grade and I made this binder slipcover for her from my Notebook Slipcover Pattern (now on sale for only $5!).  She was so excited.  Her third grade teacher felt so bad but told Anne she had to leave her binder at home since it wasn’t what the kids were using yet.  Tears were shed (lot of tears and lots of smiles for this middle child) but then it was quickly forgotten and I put the cover away.  Well, 4th grade is now about to start and this pretty cover is coming BACK!

Anne'sNotebookSlipcoverThe fabrics I used were from Pinked Fabrics on Etsy.  They are Le Boutique by Michael Miller.

If you like this Notebook Slipcover, please help me spread the word by sharing on Pinterest, twitter or Facebook.  Thanks!
