Gingercake Spring 2016 Crayon Folio Kit

This “Whatever the Weather” fabric is too cute!  I only have a few of these kits, so hurry over to the shop to get one today!

The exterior of this crayon folio is pieced together to make a cute unique look.  Although many of you may have done this type of piecing before, I thought I would share the simple technique herejsut in case help is needed.

Arrange the pieces on your work surface.  Your first step is to appliqué the weather girl piece onto the lattice fabric.

IMG_9352_edited-1I use a small zig zag stitch and decrease the width between the stitches.  I like a loose look, but you may like a tighter stitch that looks more like a fram fro your girl.  You may want to experiment before sewing the pieces together.  The weather girl should be stitched 1.5” from the left side of the piece and 1.25”  from the base.
