Here is a set of place mats I have been working on for way too long. How could these simple mats have taken so long?? But they did and I do like the finished product. The picture could be a little better but the other's were fuzzy with the new lens and so this is what we got! 4 place mats. I made them from the pattern by Amy Karol in her book Bend the Rules Sewing. Nice book- although I have to admit that I love the heck out of interfacing and added a bunch here that Amy didn't include in her work. I just love it when my finished product feels all solid and lays so nice and flat. I also added patchwork to the back to make the mats reversable or mix and match. The fabric is by Joel Miller. Next up are some matching napkins and the gift is finally done!!!
