The new house is making me so happy. My mom and sister gave me a HUGE gift last weekend when they came and basically whipped me and the new house into shape. I felt like I just stood around and herded kids while they worked and worked and worked. It was so great. Here are some highlights of my favorite decorating spots in no particular order.
These chinese figurines were an estate sale find.
Another bookshelf shot- owls from estate sales and my chickens from Portugal (via Salvation Army!) and on the left, a piece of pottery we bought for my grandma in Gubbio, Italy. When she passed away, my mom gave it back to me.
These are two small landscapes the Grandma Betty gave me.
These are some wood birds from beach vacations- corolla, NC and Santa Rosa, FL.
This lamp was a basement find from Betty's too! Katie wired this herself and we were all impressed to see it light up. I love this framed my Aunt Mary Ann brought from Florence when she was a college girl.
My kitchen! I painted the cabinets and that bright blue counter top turned out pretty.
I like how the "TELL ME WHY" book is displayed here. It is right at the front door and reminds of of Travis since I am not really a tell me why type of person- more like a tell me a story type! I made this little bowl back in my pottery days.
We had to do new carpets and floors, new furnace and other internal details. Many more plans in the future but for now I am loving my 1979 split level ranch!
