I grew up in a lovely suburb of Atlanta called Dunwoody. To see colored Christmas lights was a reason to be excited since almost everyone decorated with elegant candles in their windows and a spotlight on the front door to show off their tasteful wreath. I am sure similar neighborhoods exist here close to Pittsburgh, but this post is dedicated to letting loose and letting your gaudy flag fly! Here is what we saw yesterday on our drive to get pumpkins (and we didn't go far so this is only the tip of the ice burg).
we aren't ging to make these pictures big b/c they may hurt your eyes a little.
The guy in the chair is actually pretty cool huh?
and this next one is for you Amy…
The Lindsays are officially in on the action! This is a step ladder with a sheet on it & a pumpkin head. I My 4.5 year old actually took this picture so I have no idea what is happening here. Check it out…
Now after all those interesting displays, here is a picture of our destination to choose pumpkins~
So, does your neighborhood compare? I honestly love people in Western PA doing their thing and getting excited about holidays. Where do they even get all this stuff? Just wait until I make a post about the Christmas displays! Awesome!
