A Few Weeks Of Vintage & Thrift Store Fun

November 1, 2010

Under the guise of looking for halloween costume inspiration (which from the last post you know I didn't actually even do) I have founds lots of awesome vintage at the thrift stores and other places.

Every once in a while I look on Craigslist for "fabric" and about a week ago I saw an ad for someone close to me.  Here are a few of the super cute things I found in this lady's garage…

Here are some linens from the thrift store that were so pretty and retro.  I list them in my gingercake shop but it is always hard not to just keep them for myself!

We went to an estate sale on Friday.  This is where you really find the good stuff!  Western PA has an older population and many people live in the same home their entire life.  Finding these sales down some little winding road is so fun.  I love seeing their collection and finding treasures.  Karen dug through a pile to find this awesome sheet set and she found a cute beaded purse.  She knows what I like now!

Although that sheet set was an awesome find, this pair of cuties is my favorite from that sale.  These are on the shelf in my kitchen to stay!

Most of these are going into the vintage etsy shop later today.  The bird trim and navy/red daisy fabric sold right away to one of my favorite japanese customers.  Thanks Masae!

Happy November 1st!  I have a really cute thanksgiving tutorial coming soon!

Whoops!  Anne wanted me to show what she found for herself.  A teapot to go with all the birthday parties she has been throwing lately!
