Small Town Holiday

May 31, 2011

Here in the States we had our Memorial Day over the weekend.  I love living in a small town on patriotic holidays.  Small towns really know how to celebrate memorial day and the fourth of July.  We had a tiny and cute parade in our town.  Before we went I made flag applique tees for the girls from my blue and red scrap bags.

The parade was complete with civil war re-inactors…

Lots of local firetrucks and flags…

But on the way home we saw our favorite decoration of the holiday which captures small town holiday at its best…

So cute!  I wish I had that tractor just to decorate in my front yard!  Hope you all had a great holiday. You'll be seeing more of those tee shirts this summer-  Such a fast and easy project!
